Bengals (+5.5) vs. Giants — 2 units

Sunday, August 21st @ 7:00pm

We will always be looking for live dogs, especially in the preseason.  Hopefully, you’ve been checking the site and you joined us with for another winner on the Steelers over the Jaguars.

In Sunday’s action, we find the Giants have steamed to laying 5 and a half over the defending AFC Champ Bengals.  Joe Burrow and most of the other Bengals starters will not start.  We don’t feel like the Giants will risk their starters either, and if they do, it won’t be for very long.

Once again, we need to take a good look at the quarterback depth charts.  The Bengals will roll with Brandon Allen, Jake Browning, and Drew Plitt.  None of these names will see the top of an NFL depth chart in the near future, but in the recent past (last week), they all had impressive performances.

The Giants counter with Tyrod Taylor and Davis Webb, as we’ll assume we won’t see too much of starter Daniel Jones.  This is an offense that struggled mightily last season as both their running and passing attacks ranked 31st in the NFL, a dubious distinction for sure.  They are implementing a new system and we don’t expect fireworks from this unit.

Not unlike the Steelers game we cashed on, we feel that this should be lined a pick’em and we’ll grab the 5 and a hook.  Lines vary a bit in this tilt, but we see the Bengals +5.5 at Bovada right now.  Good luck!
