Commanders vs. Bears — under 38
Thursday Night unders – I just can’t quit you. Since 2019, unders have come in on Thursday nights 60% of the time. Ironically, the percentage actually goes up when the posted total is 40 or lower. In this TNF matchup, we get a Commanders team who can’t pass block against a Bears team who would like to avoid passing altogether. Carson Wentz has been sacked 20 times in 2022, 1 sack off the league lead. His counterpart in this one, Justin Fields, throws for 136 yards per game, which might be good if he were the quarterback for Army. Unfortunately, in the NFL those kinds of numbers make for the worst passing offense in the NFL. This looks like another Thursday night rock fight.
