Saints vs. Cardinals — under 44
If you have been following our picks this year, you knew where we were headed with this one. TNF unders are 6-1 this year and 17-7 since the start of last year. Overall, unders are 57-37 in the NFL this season. Those are solid trends, but not the only reason we want to go under the total tonight. The Cardinals, who we normally think of as a dynamic, high-flying offense, cannot get off the ground this year. They bottomed out last week, as the offense could only generate 3 points against Seattle’s awful defense. Their games have gone to the under in five straight. The biggest factor steering us to the under in this game though is that both offenses are MASH units. The Cardinals get DeAndre Hopkins back this week but lost top wideout Marquise Brown for the season against Seattle. They also lost guard Justin Pugh, a loss they couldn’t afford to a line already bitten by the injury bug. The Saints fare no better in the injury department as they come to Arizona without the services of receivers Michael Thomas and Jarvis Landry. It also appears the short week will keep starting QB Jameis Winston out for at least one more game. We expect another Thursday night rock fight, Arizona style. Let’s cash another under ticket with our friends at Bovada.
