NHL (11/1/22): Bruins vs. Penguins – Can the B’s Keep Buzzin’?

The Boston Bruins (8-1-0) and Pittsburgh Penguins (4-4-1) are heading in completely opposite directions at the moment with the “Pens” being losers of four straight and the “B’s” being winners of five straight. Boston currently leads the NHL in goals per game (4.22 GF/GP) and is also 2nd in goals against average (2.33 GA/GP) and 3rd in save percentage (.925 SV%). On the other hand, the Penguins are 11th in save percentage (.909 SV%) and 22nd in goals allowed (3.22 GA/GP).

Boston should have veteran alternate captain Brad Marchand available in this one which should only strengthen their top two lines and make the Bruins’ specialty units even better. Marchand makes the league’s 2nd best penalty-killing unit even better and really gives life to what has been the 13th best power-play unit. Boston produces a ton of shots on net (35.2 per game) and should roll in against a Penguins team that is seriously struggling right now.
