Only eleven days ago, the Falcons and Panthers faced off in Atlanta in arguably the craziest game of the first half of the NFL season. The teams combined for 71 points in the overtime thriller, the highest point total for each team so far this year. While Panther QB PJ Walker has struggled this season, he had success against a pedestrian Falcon defense, throwing for more than 300 yards. The Falcons’ pass defense ranks last in the NFL. The Falcons lean heavily on their run game and have speedster Cordarrelle Patterson back in the lineup. Atlanta should have no problem on the ground against the Panthers’ 28th-ranked run D.
