There’s no debating who has the better squad in this matchup, but there should certainly be a debate as to which team has the most motivation right now. Clemson entered this year with College Football Playoff aspirations, while North Carolina seemed to simply want progression and a solid step forward with their promising young quarterback. The Tigers were not able to achieve their goal (losing to Notre Dame and in-state rival South Carolina), but Drake Maye has been outstanding for most of the season for the Tar Heels. Maye seemingly gives them a chance to win any game they play in, and he’s certainly going to be motivated for his first ACC championship game. This title game has become routine for Clemson, and it’s going to be tough for the Tigers to win by this margin after having its CFP hopes dashed last week. We’ll gladly take the +7.5 with the Tar Heels and bet this one at MyBookie.
