The Alamo Bowl should provide some fireworks and it will give the nation an opportunity to see Michael Pennix – the Indiana transfer that has spent 2022 shredding PAC 12 defenses on his way to leading the nation in passing yardage.  The last time we saw Pennix, he was hanging 485 yards through the air on rival Washington State, a team that is no slouch on defense.  Texas will bring in a stop unit that is certainly better than most of the teams the PAC 12 has to offer, but they have had their issues defending the pass, giving up over 300 yards to Kansas State, Iowa State and Texas Tech.  The Pennix led Washington passing game has averaged a staggering 376 per outing.  The current line of 309.5 should be very achievable for Pennix.  After all, he has hit 309 or higher in ten of twelve games this season.  Let’s count on him doing it again – we’ll play over Pennix’s passing total of 309.5 at BetUS.  Grab it now – there won’t be too many under bets on this number.

Prediction: Michael Pennix (Washington) over 309.5 yards passing (-130)
