You really have to wonder about the mindset of this Liberty football team coming into its matchup against Toledo in the Boca Raton Bowl.  The Flames were hot (yeah, I said it) after wins against BYU and Arkansas but after rumors and then confirmation of coach Hugh Freeze’s impending departure, Liberty folded the tents and finished with three straight losses.  The season finale was particularly humiliating, losing to New Mexico State 49-14.  Liberty was favored by 24 in the game.  Ouch.  In Boca on Tuesday, Liberty will face the MAC’s best defense led by Pro Football Focus’ top-rated cornerback in the country, Quinyon Mitchell.  Three different quarterbacks saw time for Liberty this year and whoever is dropping back to pass will be under harassment all night from a swarming Toledo D-line.  Liberty is ranked 124th in the nation in Havoc allowed, so expect sacks and a number of tackles behind the line.  To compound matters for the Flames, rain and windy conditions are expected in South Florida.  We are catching this total on the right side of the most key number of 24 when it comes to team totals.  Let’s play the Liberty team total under 24.5 at BetUS.
