If you love college football but never watch the FCS division, I strongly suggest you check out the game between Incarnate Word and North Dakota State on Saturday. Incarnate Word will bring the best offense in the FCS to the FargoDome for this semifinal matchup. For their part, the Bison of North Dakota State will show up with one of the top defenses in the country and an overpowering running game. They also brandish a remarkable playoff record having won 43 games vs only 3 losses. We won’t mess with the spread in this one as we prefer the Incarnate Word side but have no interest in getting in front of the Bison stampede at home in the playoffs. We will, though, put our money behind the IWU offense, who were busy hanging 66 points on top-ranked Sacramento State last week. We don’t think IWU will have an answer for the Bison running game, but they don’t need to. In fact, we’ll welcome ND State points in hopes of a track meet. Incarnate Word’s team total last week was 35, which they cleared by 31 points. We won’t expect 66 against the Bison, but hitting 31 for this offense is more than achievable.
