This will be an epic clash between two of the top four teams in the Big 12 conference, and two of the top twelve teams in the entire nation, so we should expect a tightly contested game between these two juggernauts. The #5 ranked Kansas State Wildcats have an edge on the offensive end of the floor but they don’t have a ton of reliable scoring options beyond their two incredible seniors, Keyontae Johnson and Markquis Nowell, which is cause for concern. On the other hand, the #12 ranked Iowa State Cyclones are a terrific defensive team and they’re top-10 in the nation when it comes to scoring defense. We expect this one to be an all-out war between two teams that have their own personal strengths but at the end of the day, if it comes down to knocking down free throws, you’ll have to give the edge to the visitors. We think Kansas State finds a way to keep it close and could possibly claw out a victory in a game that should be nip and tuck the entire way through. We’ll take the five points with the visiting K-State Wildcats and maybe even think about sprinkling some on the moneyline (+180) at BetOnline.
Prediction: Kansas State Wildcats (+5)
