NHL (1/25): Rangers vs. Maple Leafs – Value on Road Dog

Two of the best squads in the NHL will face off Wednesday night when the New York Rangers (26-14-7) travel North of the border to play the well-oiled machine, Toronto Maple Leafs (29-11-8). Both teams have had a great season thus far and are coming into this game following dominant victories their last time on the ice, making the matchup even more compelling to watch. The Rangers are currently sitting in third place in the Eastern Conference’s Metropolitan Division with 59 points and will look to stay ahead of the competition with another win. Meanwhile, the Maple Leafs come into the contest in second place in the Atlantic Division with 66 points and looking to close the gap with the Boston Bruins (38-5-4) for the best record in the league. The biggest “bang for your buck” might come in the form of a draw on a 3-way moneyline (+350), as three of the past four meetings between these two opponents have gone into overtime/shootouts. Having said that, we’ll also be picking a side in this one and backing the visitors here! While struggling a bit on their own ice as of late — losing two of their last three home contests — the Rangers have really made up for it with quite a solid effort on the road, winning three of their previous four and eight of their past ten. In terms of head-to-head, the home-favored Maple Leafs have already dropped five of their previoys six games against the Blueshirts and 12 of their last 17 overall in Toronto. This should be a tightly contested matchup, but the value is just too good to pass up, so we’ll grab the Rangers on the moneyline (+140) and maybe even sprinkle some on a draw (+350) at BetUS.

Prediction: New York Rangers ML (+140)
