It shouldn’t be much of a surprise that a hurricane affects a New Orleans Saints game, but it is when the game is held in Los Angeles.
The Saints march in to Los Angeles off of an impressive win against the Chiefs while the Chargers laid it on their roommate Rams. Chargers’ coach Brandon Staley simply doesn’t play his starters in the preseason. In fact, QB Justin Herbert has never taken a snap in the preseason. That leaves Easton Stick and rookie Max Duggan as the signal callers for the Bolts. The Saints turn to Derek Carr, Jameis Winston and Fresno State product Jake Haener. We think this is a distinct advantage for the visiting Saints. The Big Easy boys are favored by 3.5 but it makes us queasy to lay more than a field goal in the preseason. We’ll opt for a two unit play on the Saints money line. We’ll lay the -170 at BetOnline.
