Oakland rolls into Toronto for a three game set this weekend as the A’s send James Kaprielian to the mound against the Jays and Chris Bassitt. Bassitt has been a model of inconsistency. His last two outings have seen him go a total of 6.2 innings while giving up 13 runs. His two previous June starts were gems – going 15.2 and only allowing two runs. Kaprielian has been more consistent, but not in a good way. He comes in with a 7.27 road ERA to face a talented Blue Jays lineup. It doesn’t help that when Kaprielian comes out he’ll hand the ball to the worst bullpen in baseball. The blowout could be on in this one but instead of laying the monster juice on Toronto, we’ll count on Oakland doing enough to push this one over the total of 9.
